Your summary care record (kjernejournal) contains key information about your health. If you become acutely ill, healthcare professionals will have immediate and secure access to your information.

The summary care record contains key information about you and your health. This data can be accessed by yourself and healthcare professionals. You can check whether the information is correct and make changes.

  • This service requires consent at Basic access level or higher.

    If you wish to check the level of consent you have given or change your consent, you can do this under Privacy settings.

  • You can grant power of attorney to others so that they can view and enter information on your behalf and you can receive corresponding power of attorney from others.

      You must give power of attorney for “Access to information that has been registered about you”.
    • Change or enter information
      You must give power of attorney for “digital health services”.

  • Children under 12 years of age

    You can use this service on behalf of children under 12 years of age for whom you have parental responsibility or guardianship.

    Parents with parental responsibility or guardianship have a right to access their child’s summary care record via Helsenorge for children under the age of 12 years, but only if at least one of the parents is registered at the same address as the child in the Norwegian National Population Register:

    • If one or both parents are registered at the same address as the child, both will be able to access the child’s summary care record online.
    • If neither parent is registered at the same address as the child, they will not be able to access the child’s summary care record online.


    Children and adolescents aged 12 to 15 years

    Online access to the summary care record is not available when acting on behalf of children between the ages of 12 and 16. You can instead contact the child's GP or other healthcare provider.

    Adolescents over the age of 16 years

    When a child for whom you have parental responsibility or guardianship turns 16 years of age, you will no longer have access to their medical records. In order to access their patient records (Pasientjournal), the young person can log in to Helsenorge or give you power of attorney.

  • Unlisted address is often also known as «confidential address» or «blocked address».

    This service is not available to people with an unlisted address.

    If the service contains information from another service that is not available, this information will not be visible, even if this service is.

    If you live at a confidential address, you will not be able to represent others at Helsenorge, nor will others be able to act on your behalf.

Are you looking for your blood type?

Unfortunately, information about your blood type is not available on Helsenorge. Healthcare providers will always test if they need to know your blood type, e.g. in connection with blood transfusions or pregnancy.
