Here, you will find a complete overview of your prescriptions for medicines and other products. You can also request repeat prescriptions and view a usage log.

About Prescriptions ("Resepter")

Here, you will see your prescriptions and information about dispensed medicines, food products and medical consumables. The information is obtained from the prescription intermediary (Reseptformidleren) and your summary care record.

View and renew prescriptions

If your GP offers it, you can request renewal of your prescriptions directly from Medicines when you are logged in to Helsenorge. You will also find an overview of your prescriptions and how much is left on your prescription.

If your GP does not offer any digital services via Helsenorge, you will be notified of this when you log in. Even if your GP does not offer digital services, you will be able to find information about who your GP is and contact details of the GP surgery.

 For young people between the ages of 13 and 16 with parental consent 

If you are between 13 and 16 years old, you cannot currently renew prescriptions via Helsenorge. Contact your practitioner in another way if you need a new prescription.

More about the service

  • This service requires Full access consent.

    If you would like to check what level of consent you have given or change your consent, you can do this under Privacy settings.

    If you do not wish to consent to Full access, you can still view your prescriptions via Helsenorge without using the Medicines service.

    This service requires consent at Basic access level or higher.

  • In order to use this service on behalf of others for whom you do not have parental responsibility, the individual in question needs to give you power of attorney for service area number 3: Digital health services.

    Please note that the power of attorney to view prescriptions and request repeat prescriptions is not the same as the power of attorney to collect goods on behalf of others.

    In order to collect medication or other goods from a pharmacy on behalf of others, you need to use a dedicated power of attorney. You can find a form you can use from the Norwegian Pharmacy Association (in Norwegian).

  • You can use this service on behalf of a child under 16 you have custody of, but only if at least one parent is registered in the National Population Register at the same address as the child:

    • If one or more of the parents are registered at the same address as the child, both parents will be able to represent the child.
    • If neither parent is registered at the same address as the child, neither of them will be able to represent the child.

    From 16 years of age

    When a child for whom you have parental responsibility turns 16 years of age, you will no longer have access to their health data. In order to gain access, the young person can either log in to Helsenorge or give you power of attorney.

  • Unlisted address is often referred to as «confidential address» or «blocked address».

    This service is available to people with an unlisted address.

    If this service contains information from another service that is not accessible to you because of the confidential address, you will also not be able to see this information here.

    If you live at a confidential address, you will not be able to represent others at Helsenorge, nor will others be able to act on your behalf.
